Congratulations, Peter Hearn MSC, 50 years ordained.
On June 5th, Peter Hearn celebrates 50 years of priesthood. Peter studied at Monivae College, Hamilton, made his first profession on March 1st 1969. He studied at Canberra and Croydon monasteries as well as a year teaching at Downlands College and gaining his theology degree at the Yarra Theological Union.
His ministry has included many years in the Northern Territory. Community Leader at Kensington Monastery, and longtime appointments as parish priest at Kensington and Randwick.
His doctoral thesis for the Sydney College of Divinity, with studies in Leuven, was published by Nelen Yubu Press, A Theology of Mission, Diocese of Darwin 1949-85.
