We are to be on earth the heart of God. God has no other heart but ours.

Early this Good Friday Fr Paul Power passed away at St Joseph’s the OLSH Nursing Home is Sydney . Until recent times he had been in good health but he was anointed on Holy Thursday.

For some years he has suffered from severe dementia. And after carrying such a cross he dies on Good Friday.

bedeBede, as he was known, was born at Drummoyne, NSW, on 20th February 1921, the second child of Augustus Mooney and Katherine (McCarthy). After his ordination in Melbourne, on 27th July 1947, he spent four-years at Chevalier College, Bowral. Then he was appointed as Provincial Secretary and Provincial Bursar and was to be based at the Kensington Monastery for 15 years.
