On November 25th, the 57th Annual Speech Night for Monivae College was held in the College Stadium. Throughout the evening many awards were presented  acknowledging the academic, co-curricular, sporting, and community service, achievements of the students throughout 2010.

The most prestigious award, The Jules Chevalier Award for the Most Outstanding Student, was announced by the College Principal, Mr Mark McGinnity, and presented by the MSC Provincial, Fr Timothy Brennan msc to  Shahn Colliver.  Shahn is the female College Captain for 2010 and is a worthy recipient of the award. Congratulations Shahn.



The Jules Chevalier Award for the most outstanding student.

 This award is named after the founder of the MSC congregation. The Jules Chevalier Award is made to a Yr 12 student who needs to have met the following criteria.

  • A commitment to the importance of academic effort,
  • a good level of involvement in Monivae activities such as sport, social service, liturgies, public speaking, cadets, assemblies etc.
  • To exemplify the Monivae spirit in caring for others, representing Monivae with pride, actively involved and supportive of our liturgies and our religious focus.
