Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, an Australian community, in a worldwide religious congregation.
Jesus loved with a human heart: with him we proclaim his love to the world.
We work to discover through advocacy, healing and reconciliation, God's presence in our world.
We are to be on earth the heart of God. God has no other heart but ours.

Fr Kevin Young MSC died on the afternoon of Monday December 20th 2010.
Ordained in 1951, Kevin taught for some years at both Chevalier College (this writer has memories of Algebra classes) and Downlands College. But his ministry for almost fifty years was missionary.
While he spent a year in a Darwin parish, he worked for almost thirty years in Papua New Guinea. His ministry was quite varied. Six years were spent in Nimowa and thirteen on Goodenough Island. In 1977, he moved to Mendi and became Rector for diocesan students during their Spiritual Year. He then was at DeBoismenu in Port Moresby for a year, followed by a year as Novice Master at Vunapau.
From 1983 to 2007, he was working in the Pacific, with some years as Superior of the Scholasticate in Fiji and pre-novitiate formator. But most of the time was in parishes, in Lomari and Veivatuloa. After almost a quarter of a century, he retired to Kensington in Sydney.
After surgery in 2010, his health declined and he died peacefully, after living as an MSC for over 65 years, as a priest for almost sixty years, as a missionary for almost fity years. He was 85.
Rest in Peace.
